Nintendo, when asked about whether Nintendo would consider creating
an online avatar system, similar to Sony's "Home", he had this to
say: "In that respect, the virtual-world services out there now
still aren't at a place where we'd like to join in." :-(
The Damn Small Linux project has introduced a tiny PC based on a
custom passively cooled nano-ITX board. The "Damn Small Machine" is
powered by an 800MHz Via Eden processor, and could well be the
first complete, off-the-shelf nano-ITX based system. Its name says
it all.
I am now using Digg, Hype Machine, and Last.fm, and I have to say I
feel even more out of it than when I started. Though I understand
the purpose of these applications from a more removed perspective,
I canÁ??t help but feel that I am creating an artificial
representation of my media consumption by using these sites.
